

Near the vertex, there are superficial hyperdensities along/within the cortex on both sides. Some as pointed to by the red arrow truly appear to be within the cortex and are therefore small areas of cortical contusion. Others such as pointed to by the green arrow are located within a sulcus (best seen on the sagital reformation from the thins) and are therefore consistent with areas of subarachnoid hemorrhage.
